Best NRFI Bets Today 2025 11 01 Blue Jays Max Scherzer

The Los Angeles Dodgers forced Game 7 on Friday night after beating the Toronto Blue Jays in the Rogers Centre. The game came down to the final inning, where the Blue Jays were threatening with runners on second and third.

The Dodgers earned the win, but they didn’t dominate. The biggest positive is that the NRFI hit, and I’m going back to it on Saturday.

Dodgers vs. Blue Jays - Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs. Kevin Gausman (8:00 PM EST)

Under 0.5 Run (-120) at Hard Rock Sportsbook

Tyler Glasnow takes the mound for the Dodgers in Game 7, and his presence alone sets the tone for a low-scoring start. Glasnow finished Game 6, and it only took three pitches.

He’s been excellent this season with a 3.19 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP, showing an ability to overpower hitters of all abilities.

Glasnow has dominated the first inning throughout 2025, holding opponents to a batting average under .200 in the opening frame. He wasn’t phased in the ninth inning of an elimination game, so we expect a big performance in the first inning on Saturday.

His mix of velocity and command makes him a nightmare for aggressive hitters like the top of Toronto’s order. If he can go after Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer, he should have no issue recording a scoreless first inning.

For the Blue Jays, veteran Max Scherzer gets the ball in what could be his final career start. The last time he started a Game 7, he won the World Series with the Nationals.

Scherzer posted a 5.19 ERA and a 1.29 WHIP this year, showing he is still serviceable. He has a veteran presence that should calm his teammates.

Scherzer has always been known for his ability to control innings early, allowing very few first inning runs throughout his career. He thrives under pressure, and this game is the definition of pressure.

The Dodgers’ lineup has power, but their postseason batting average hasn’t been excellent. They only scored in one inning of Game 6.

Glasnow’s ability to get ahead in counts could force Toronto to put balls in play early, reducing the chance of big innings.

On the other hand, the Blue Jays have a potent offense with a .265 team average and a .333 on-base percentage during the regular season. However, facing Glasnow won’t be an easy task.

Both lineups are dangerous, but the pressure of a Game 7 often favors the pitchers who stay calm and attack the zone. This leads to early outs and hopefully a scoreless first frame.

This matchup feels destined for a scoreless start, with two elite arms capable of neutralizing the opponent’s best hitters.
