For home run props, the opposing team’s starting pitcher can be just as important as the hitter. That’s the case on Tuesday with Arizona’s Brandon Pfaadt facing Greene and the Tigers. Pfaadt has allowed 17 home runs this season, and only one other starting pitcher scheduled for Tuesday has allowed more. This game is in Detroit, and since 14 of the 17 home runs Pfaadt has allowed this year have come on the road, it’s a good idea to target one of Detroit’s power hitters to hit a home run.
Most of the homers Pfaadt has surrendered have come against left-handed hitters, which leads us to Greene. His smooth, left-handed swing has hit 25 homers this season, with 23 of them coming against right-handed pitchers. Greene has a .601 slugging percentage against righties. Despite not hitting a home run in the last 10 days, Greene has six homers in July, so he’s due for one and has a perfect matchup against Pfaadt on Tuesday to break his home run slump.
Greene’s odds to homer on Tuesday are +340. But with the Dinger Tuesday promo applied, those odds jump to +510. That means a $10 bet will earn a profit of $51 if you use the promo on Greene and he hits a home run. That value is too good to pass up!
