NBA Player Props and Best Bets: Anthony Edwards, Pascal Siakam & More Picks for Friday, April 3

The week is coming to an end, and I have another selection of NBA player prop picks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up 28 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in an enormous blowout win for the Oklahoma City Thunder over the Los Angeles Lakers. Daniss Jenkins also continued to turn heads as he scored 26 points and dished out eight assists as the Detroit Pistons beat the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Saturday’s lineup of games doesn’t include many potential playoff opponents, although the Minnesota Timberwolves will visit the Philadelphia 76ers in the standout match of the day.

Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Friday, April 3.

Pascal Siakam Over 5.5 Rebounds (-114) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Siakam went over this line in four of his last five games and averaged 6.6 rebounds per game for the year. He also had 14 rebounds in his last matchup with the Charlotte Hornets, although he only had four in their meeting before that.

The Hornets allowed the second-fewest rebounds per game over the last few weeks of play, which is why Siakam’s line is as low as it is. However, he usually gets to play a ton of minutes, and he is a capable rebounder, and I believe that he can still get over this line.

Anthony Edwards Over 3.5 Assists (-136) at FanDuel Sportsbook

I wrote about this pick yesterday morning, before Edwards got ruled out of the Timberwolves’ matchup with the Pistons. But never mind that, as Edwards, who went over in five straight games, should have an even easier time cashing the over against a Sixers squad that was below league-average in assists allowed per game during March.

Edwards only recently returned from an injury that held him out for a couple of weeks, but he should get to play close to his full minutes count if the game doesn’t become a blowout. His consistency getting to the over, combined with Philly’s subpar defense and both teams’ willingness to run in transition, makes this pick too enticing for me not to take.

Ace Bailey Under 18.5 Points (-102) at FanDuel Sportsbook

At the risk of this aging poorly, I am a little baffled to see the line where it is for Bailey, who averaged 13.5 points per game and went under in four of his last five games. Isaiah Collier is out of the lineup, but Bailey isn’t someone who dominates the ball, as seen by his relatively consistent shot diet since March.

Bailey went under this number in two of three matchups with the Houston Rockets and only scored four points in their last meeting on Feb. 23. Houston also allowed the fourth-fewest points per game and is an enormous favorite entering tonight, leaving me little reason to confidently bet his over.

Sam Hauser Over 2.5 Threes (-112) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Hauser is actually having the worst year of his NBA career shooting the ball, but he still made 38.7 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc (and made 2.5 per game). He went under in seven of his last nine games and only shot 33 percent from deep in March, but he drilled five of his seven attempts in his last game on Wednesday.

The Milwaukee Bucks allowed the second-most average threes per game on 39.2 percent shooting allowed over their last 15 contests. Hauser went over the last time he met with Milwaukee and took seven, eight, and nine attempts from three in their season matchups, meaning that any normal level of efficiency for him should result in an over.

Jonathan Kuminga Under 12.5 Points (-130) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Kuminga averaged 11.7 points on efficient shooting splits in 21.5 minutes per night since he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks ahead of the deadline. He also went under this line in four straight contests coming off the back of a month during which he only averaged 9.3 points per game on 39.7 percent shooting from the field.

The former Golden State Warrior doesn’t get to attempt many field goals per game, and three of his four times eclipsing this line were on nights where he shot an unsustainable 63 percent-or-better from the field. The Brooklyn Nets ranked 15th in points allowed per game over the last few weeks, and they kept Kuminga to two points on 0-4 shooting when they last met on March 12.
