The Broncos have a +10 point differential against division opponents
RJ Harvey has five touchdowns over his last four games
Chris Oladokun will start at quarterback for the Chiefs
This Week's Thursday Night matchup between the Broncos and Chiefs was expected to be the highlight of the Christmas slate of games, but no longer. An injury to Patrick Mahomes helped ensure the team’s playoff hopes came crashing down last week, creating a lopsided matchup between these AFC West rivals. While the game may not offer the excitement we had hoped for, there are some fantastic matchups on the board.
We’ll provide insights into our favorite same-game parlay for this Christmas matchup below,, using odds taken from Caesars Sportsbook, one of our best-ranked parlay betting sites.

We have little faith in the Chiefs' offense, but we expect the defense to cover this total on Thursday night. We saw them do well against the Broncos when they met in Denver in November, limiting them to 16 first downs and one offensive touchdown. They kept the game close, despite a brutal showing from the Kansas City offense.
The Chiefs’ defense isn’t the elite unit it’s been over the last few seasons, but they have still been solid. They are tenth in the NFL in yards allowed per game (307.9) and rank fourth in scoring (19.6 PPG).
While they could be without Derrick Nnadi and Trent McDuffie, home-field advantage will be a boost. We expect a rowdy crowd and an emotional game, given the announcement that the team will be leaving Missouri for Kansas. The players will have a chance to show their local fans how much they mean to them, creating a recipe for a stunning upset in Week 17.
We also don’t fully trust the Broncos' offense in 2025. While they can be electric, they have also delivered some mind-boggling flops against bad defenses. That includes matchups against the Titans, Jets, and Raiders, where the Broncos scored 20 or fewer points.
Denver may be leading the AFC West, but they has not been dominant against their rivals. They are 3-1 against the division, but have a point differential of +10. Seven or fewer points decided all four games. That includes a pair of games against the lowly Raiders, whom they only outscored 34-24.

Harvey struggled in his first two games since JK Dobbins was injured, but has settled down nicely since. He has scored in four consecutive games, finding the end zone a total of five times. He is the top option for the Broncos at the goal line, and there is no reason to think that will change this week.
On top of his improved rushing, Harvey has also been an active part of the pass attack. He finished with four catches for 71 yards last week. While he has not scored a receiving touchdown since November 2, his continued involvement makes that unlikely to last much longer.
While the Chiefs rank in the top ten in rushing yards allowed per game (103.4), they are in the middle of the pack on touchdowns, with 13 scored on the ground this season.

With Mahomes out and Gardner Minshew listed as doubtful, Chris Oladokun will be starting in Week 17. The 2022 seventh-round pick entered the game last week after Minshew went down, and he played far better than many expected. The 28-year-old completed 68.8% of his passes for 111 yards without an interception.
While Oladokun didn’t throw a touchdown pass, his efficiency shows that the Chiefs have a plan for how to use him. Extra pressure will make his life far more difficult this week, but Kansas City will likely need to pass to stay in this game. Given the current price from Caesars, we think this is a perfect way to close out our Thursday Night Football same game parlay.
