Josh Allen had two rushing and two passing touchdowns in Week 1.
Allen has thrown at least two touchdown passes in each of his last three games against the Jets.
The New York defense has held Allen to 18 rushing yards or fewer in the last three Bills-Jets games.
Josh Allen set a high bar for himself last season when he took home NFL MVP honors. Just one game into the 2025 season, Allen looks poised to match or exceed the high standard he has set for himself. In Week 1, Allen led an amazing comeback, as the Bills overcame a 15-point deficit with less than four minutes left to beat the Baltimore Ravens.
When all was said and done, Allen had compiled nearly 400 passing yards with two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns. It was the type of performance we’ve come to expect from Allen. That’s bad news for the New York Jets, who host Allen and the Bills in Week 2.
After one week, Allen is among the favorites to lead the NFL in passing yards this season. Naturally, he also leads the list of NFL MVP favorites, while also making Buffalo a heavy favorite to win the AFC East yet again.
Given the way he played last night, fresh off his MVP campaign, there is perhaps no better player to target for prop bets than Allen. We've picked out three prop bets involving Allen that we love for Week 2. The odds for these bets are from FanDuel Sportsbook, which is giving new customers $300 in bonus bets if they sign up and win their first bet.
This is one of the safer prop bets involving Allen in any given week. In many ways, he’s the best short-yardage power back that Buffalo has, which is why the play call is often for Allen to keep it himself when the Bills get inside the two-yard line. We saw it twice last week with Allen scoring two rushing touchdowns, and there’s no reason to think it won’t happen again.
Last year, Allen scored 12 rushing touchdowns during the regular season. Granted, he had some games with multiple rushing touchdowns, so there were only eight games in which he found the end zone himself, so this bet isn’t quite a slam dunk. However, he did score a rushing touchdown in both games against the Jets last season, so we’ll bet on him to do it again.

The Jets were a disaster on defense last week, especially when it came to defending the pass. One week into the season, there are serious questions about the secondary. Even 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers was able to throw for four touchdowns against them, which bodes well for Allen’s chances of throwing at least a couple of touchdowns.
In addition to his two rushing touchdowns last week, Allen also had two passing touchdowns. He has plenty of potential targets, including two capable tight ends, offseason addition Joshua Palmer, and second-year receiver Keon Coleman, who had a big game last week. If the Jets couldn’t cover Pittsburgh’s receivers, they won’t be able to keep track of Buffalo’s targets, making it easy for Allen to throw at least two touchdown passes, something he’s done in three straight games against the Jets.

While Allen may use his legs to score a touchdown, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll rack up a lot of rushing yards in this game. Even in last week’s amazing comeback, Allen only totaled 30 rushing yards. As a veteran, he’s becoming smarter about when he takes off to run and risks getting hit.
Equally important, the Jets see him twice every season, so they are well prepared when it comes to stopping Allen from running. He had just 35 total rushing yards across two games against the Jets last season. After some huge rushing games against the Jets in the past, the New York defense has held Allen to 18 rushing yards or less in three straight meetings. Plus, if the Bills get a comfortable lead early, there will be no need for Allen to do much running.
