The Seahawks started the season with a loss to the 49ers
Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns in the Steelers' Week 1 win
Pittsburgh is a short favorite at home on Sunday
We have a battle between the NFC West and the AFC North when the Steelers and Seahawks collide on Sunday. Seattle is looking for their first win of the season after losing to the 49ers in Week 1.
The Steelers beat the Jets on the road last Sunday and will look to stay unbeaten on Sunday. I have targeted three props for the game on bet365.
bet365 sportsbook offers a vast array of markets for the NFL every week, and it's one of our top recommended NFL betting sites. If you bet $5, you will receive $300 in bonus bets, regardless of the outcome, with our promo code WSN365.
Sam Darnold’s career in Seattle is off to a very rough start after losing 17-13 on Sunday. Seattle was in a position to win the game, but Darnold had a costly turnover at the end of the game.
Seattle was at San Francisco’s 16-yard line when they allowed a sack that led to a fumble with 42 seconds left. Nick Bosa recovered the fumble, and that concluded the contest.
Darnold’s stats were terrible, and he didn’t have many of these types of games last season. Seattle lacked a big-play threat, and that was evident throughout the game.
Darnold threw for 150 yards on 23 passing attempts. Former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidate Jaxson Smith-Njigba had nine catches for 124 yards, but he was the only outlet for Darnold.
Cooper Kupp had two catches for 15 yards, and this is where the Seahawks must improve. If Kupp only has 15 yards, Seattle isn’t going to win games, especially when they can’t run the football.
I believe Seattle’s biggest goal on Sunday is to run the football. The Seahawks only rushed for 84 yards on the afternoon. Zach Charbonnet and Kenneth Walker III were silenced.
The way to beat the Steelers is by controlling the pace of the game. If you win the clock control battle, you give yourself a chance to win.
This is especially true with Aaron Rodgers now playing for the Steelers. Pittsburgh can score, and this makes them a much tougher team than in years past.
If Seattle attempts to run the ball, it should keep Darnold’s total down. Additionally, the Steelers have an excellent passing defense. Justin Fields had a solid game last week against them, but they also had to account for his running.
Darnold doesn’t present that same threat, so I like him to stay under 195.5 rushing yards.

Even though I like Darnold to go under his passing line, Jaxson Smith-Njigba will have a big day catching the football. Smith-Njigba is incredibly dynamic, making him very difficult to stop.
The Steelers can key on him, but he will have chances around the goal line. The Seahawks struggled to move the ball up and down the field last week.
Once they got to the red zone, they stalled. This should be an emphasis for the Seahawks in practice this week, and it will come to fruition.
Smith-Njigba had six touchdowns in 17 games last season. He had four as a rookie, so look for him to take another jump in this category.

Former NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers got his revenge on the New York Jets last Sunday. Rodgers didn’t have a good stretch with New York, and then the new head coach, Aaron Glenn, said he didn’t have room on the team for the quarterback.
Rodgers threw for 244 passing yards and four touchdowns in the win over the Jets. The Steelers' offense threw the ball more than in recent seasons because a lackluster quarterback didn’t handicap them on Sunday.
Rodgers may be 41 years old, but he can still throw the football. The Seahawks allowed Purdy to throw for 277 yards last week.
The Steelers should attack Seattle’s weak secondary and also look for short completions out of the backfield. This approach will give Rodgers a great chance of exceeding 225.5 passing yards.
