March Madness has arrived, and the first leg of the action begins with CBB Champ Week. If you’re not watching the championship action, you should because the games are intense. The NCAA Tournament will feature teams from all different conferences. There are mid-majors within March Madness who will do their best to shock the world. However, most of the time, we see the major programs dominate. These programs receive the most attention as they fight for their NCAA Tournament bid this week.
There are betting opportunities at all levels during college basketball championship week. Yet, let’s focus on the teams that will make a lot of noise in their respective conferences. Let’s start with the best basketball conference in the nation, the Big 12.
The Big 12 has multiple teams that could win the conference this week. Additionally, many of these programs will have successful NCAA Tournament runs, even though only one can be victorious in the National Championship. Kansas is the favorite to win the Big 12, as they already took home the regular season title. Jalen Wilson and Gradey Dick have caused a lot of problems for opponents as the team’s two leading scorers.
In the SEC, Alabama has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. They ended their season with a loss to Texas A&M, but we will likely see this rematch in the SEC Tournament during Champ Week. We recommend taking the Crimson Tide to roll, as Brandon Miller has handled a lot of adversity off the floor as of late and is still performing.
In the Pac-12, two teams to watch are Arizona and UCLA. We believe Arizona is the best bet to win the conference because of their play on the front court. The defense has been an issue for the Wildcats, but they have exceptional scorers. Arizona will go as far as Azuolas Tubelis will take them, as the junior forward is averaging close to a double-double this season.
The Big East is one of the most wide-open conferences in the country. UConn, Xavier, Providence, Marquette, and Creighton are all at the top of the list for teams to watch. Although, one program that has surprised us as of late in the bottom half of the conference is Villanova, so don’t forget them heading into Champ Week.
Miami and Virginia shared the ACC regular season title. These are two teams with a lot of playmakers. However, we like Pittsburgh to receive the NCAA Tournament bid. The Panthers were 14-6 on the season in the ACC and were one of the best programs on the road with a 7-5 record.
Lastly, in the Big Ten, Purdue is leaps and bounds better than the rest of the conference. They weren’t great in the final stretch of the season. Yet, we like them to get back on track behind Zach Edey. Edey is one of the best big men in the country, so look for him to make noise and lead the Boilermakers to a title.

I am a huge sports fan; locally, many know me as the guy who does the PA for our high school football team on Friday nights. Having grown up in Michigan, I am a sports fan of all the Detroit teams, and at the college level, I love Michigan State sports.
