Ronaldo Souza (26-6-1) vs Jack Hermansson (19-4) – Middleweight division

Ronaldo Souza was originally slated to face Yoel Romero in a rematch from their December 15, 2016 bout that saw Romero defeat Souza via split decision. However, Romero was forced to pull out of the fight due to an illness and Jack Hermansson, who just fought back on March 30 of this year, stepped in to face Jacare, claiming it was an opportunity that he couldn’t pass up.

Ronaldo Souza, 39, last fought on November 3, 2018 at UFC 230. It was there where he scored an incredible knockout victory in the third round over former middleweight champion Chris Weidman. In his last four fights, Souza has gone 2-2. He is ranked number three in the UFC middleweight rankings.

”Jacare” stands at 6 feet, 1 inch tall and has a 72 inch reach. He fights out of Manaus, Brazil as part of the Fusion X-Cel Performance team. He has a sixth-degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a black belt in judo, both under Henrique Machado.

Jack Hermansson, 30, last fought on March 30, 2019 at UFC on ESPN. He fought and defeated David Branch by guillotine submission in the first round. The victory moved him into the top-10 rankings of the UFC’s middleweight division.

”The Joker” stands at 6 feet, 1 inch tall just like his opponent but he has a 77.5 reach – giving him a 5.5 inch reach advantage over Jacare. The Swedish orthodox fighter fights out of Oslo, Norway with the Frontline Academy.
