Just when we thought Randy Arozarena’s career was in a nosedive, he has somehow returned to being the star he used to be. With a favorable pitching matchup today, we love his chances to stay hot and add to his fast-growing home run total. We’ll share why below, along with two other bets that we love.

The former Rays star is finally settling in with Seattle. After disappointing in 2024 and starting slow this season, Randy Arozarena returned to All-Star form last month. Since June 1, his average has risen from .220 to .246, and now his power is finally returning. The 30-year-old already has four home runs through his first 26 at-bats in July, and we love his chances to deliver another tonight.
Arozarena will be facing a familiar face on the mound tonight in Reds’ starter Nick Lodolo (5-6, 3.58 ERA, 1.14 WHIP). He has eight at-bats against the pitcher and delivered four hits and two home runs.
After a hot start, Lodolo has returned to being a back-end starter. He has delivered some strong appearances, but is still allowing far too many home runs. After giving up just six in April and May, he has allowed eight over the six starts since. With Lodolo’s struggles coming primarily at home, we expect him to give Arozarena plenty of good chances to add to his growing home run total.

Jonathan Aranda has been one of the most surprising stars of the 2025 season. He is batting .321 with 11 home runs and 49 RBIs, helping the Rays to stay in playoff contention over the first half of the season. His best work has come on the road this season, where he is batting .326 and has hit all of his long balls.
The Rays’ slugger went through a power slump for most of June, but now has three home runs over his last 11 games.
Walker Buehler (6-6, 6.25 ERA, 1.58 WHIP) has not been the player the Red Sox had hoped. He isn’t going deep into games and has proven unable to keep the ball in the park. In 20 ⅓ innings pitched in June, he surrendered a whopping seven home runs. He managed to avoid surrendering one in his last start, but that was against a Washington team that ranks towards the bottom of the league in that category.
Aranda has faced Buehler four times, posting two hits and a home run.

I know we just said the Nationals don’t hit for power in the above section, but James Wood is an exception. The 22-year-old is having a breakout season, which has included 23 home runs. While he has just one long ball in July, he is still batting .346. That gives us hope that his power stroke will return in a big way very soon.
Another reason we like this bet is Cardinals’ pitcher Miles Mikolas (4-6, 5.26 ERA, 1.34 WHIP). After bouncing back in May, his struggles returned in June. In six starts since then, he has surrendered 12 home runs. Six of those came over his last six innings pitched.
With Mikolas once again struggling and Wood seeing the ball well, this is one of our favorite bets of the week.
