More than a week into the MLB season, the home runs still aren’t coming from the places you’d expect. While that’s made home run props tricky, we’re doing our best by looking for red-hot hitters who happen to have power in their tool box. That makes us confident about our four home run props for Tuesday, especially after hitting two of our four bets yesterday.

Stanton has been on fire to begin the season, batting .394 through eight games. The only surprising part is that he’s hit just one home run despite already registering six multi-hit games. For a player with Stanton’s raw power, it’s only a matter of time until the home runs start coming if he’s that locked in at the plate.
Tuesday figures to be a good day for Stanton against Aaron Civale and the A’s. Stanton has two career home runs against Civale in just seven total at-bats. Also, the last time Civale visited Yankee Stadium, early in 2025, he gave up three home runs in three innings of work, which is a bad omen for him and a good sign for Stanton.

Walker is another hitter who’s swinging a red-hot bat right now and just needs to tap into his power more. He hit two home runs over the weekend, giving him eight extra-base hits and four multi-hit games in his first 11 games. The kicker for Tuesday is that he and the Astros are playing at Coors Field and facing Kyle Freeland.
Naturally, Walker has a good history against Freeland, going 13 for 41 (.317) with three home runs against him. The lefty has looked sharp in his first two starts, not giving up a home run across 9.1 innings. But this will be his first start of the season at Coors Field, making Freeland more vulnerable to the long ball.

While Olson is 2 for 10 over his last three games after hitting homers in back-to-back games, that’s not proof that he’s cooled off entirely. Atlanta’s first baseman has an OPS of .909, so he’s clearly off to a promising start. Of course, it’s the matchup against Yusei Kikuchi of the Angels that got our attention.
Olson has two previous home runs in 26 career at-bats against Kikuchi. More to the point, Kikuchi was one of the worst pitchers in baseball last season when it came to home runs. The lefty has only allowed one home run over his first two starts. But with a 6.52 ERA after those two games, Kikichi is still vulnerable against a right-handed power hitter like Olson.

This is Tuesday’s deep cut, as De La Cruz and the Reds are facing Sandy Alcantara on Tuesday. Alcantara has been lights-out this season, allowing just seven hits and one run (which was unearned) in 16 innings across his first two starts. However, De La Cruz is 2 for 5 with a pair of doubles against Alcantara, so all hope is not lost.
Plus, De La Cruz has already hit three home runs this season. He’s also in the middle of a seven-game hitting streak, including back-to-back multi-hit games. If he’s that locked in at the plate, it’s worth a flier on De La Cruz regardless of who’s on the mound.
