Logan Webb has been very consistent at home throughout his career. I typically fade Webb on the road, but when he is at home, there are very few pitchers better than him in Major League Baseball.
Webb has been strong this season with a 5-5 record, 2.55 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP. He has struck out 91 batters in 81.1 innings, and it should be hard for the Braves to get to him in the first inning.
Webb should start the game with three outs, then it will be up to Bryce Elder to finish the job for Atlanta. Elder is 2-3 with a 4.56 ERA and a 1.3 WHIP.
There is definitely room for Elder to improve, but San Francisco is a pitcher’s ballpark. The dimensions help protect him from offense, especially with the afternoon start time.
Elder has been much better during the day than at night. He has a 3.18 ERA in early games and hasn’t allowed a home run this season.
The quickest way to losing an NRFI is with the long ball, and Elder has shown the ability to keep the ball in the yard during day games. This gives me confidence he can finish the job in the bottom of the first inning.

The Red Sox have the worst first inning ERA in baseball. Boston has consistently been allowing crooked numbers in the first inning with most of their starters.
However, Garrett Crochet will take the ball on Saturday, and he has been the one pitcher to trust. Crochet is 5-4 with a 1.98 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP.
Crochet is third in strikeouts this season with 101 and has everything needed in his arsenal to shut down the Yankees. Aaron Judge will be a concern at the top of the lineup, but Crochet has the skillset to manage the American League MVP favorite.
Ryan Yarbrough will be tough for Boston to hit on Saturday, so the game should get started with three quick outs. Yarbrough has a 2.83 ERA and a 0.99 WHIP on the season.
The Red Sox aren’t better than the Yankees in any facet of the game, and they should have limited offense in game two of this series.

Mets vs. Rockies - Clay Holmes vs. Carson Palmquist - Palmquist has an 8.5 ERA and a 1.83 WHIP, so the Mets should tee off on him in this game.
Orioles vs. Athletics - Charlie Morton vs. Luis Severino - Morton and Severino both have high ERAs and WHIPs in 2025, and the dimensions in Sacramento are hitter-friendly.
