Dodgers vs. Padres - Tyler Glasnow vs. Nestor Cortes (8:40 PM, EST)

Tyler Glasnow has been inconsistent this season in his time on the mound because of injuries. The pitcher hasn’t been able to get into much of a flow state this season, but he has been healthy recently and posting strong numbers.

He has struck out 23 batters in 17.2 innings in the month of August. Glasnow has also allowed just 13 hits this month, so he has turned into a prime NRFI pitcher recently. 

Nestor Cortes will take the ball for the San Diego Padres, and he hasn’t been the most reliable starter this season. The pitcher is 1-2 with a 5.87 ERA and a 1.65 WHIP, but he has been good at home this season. 

He has a 3.09 ERA and a .190 opponent batting average at home in 2025. The pitcher is very trustworthy in the bottom half of an inning, which makes me trust him in this position. 

The Padres and Dodgers both have strong offenses, with stars at the top of their respective lineups. These pitchers will have to maneuver elite talent like Shohei Ohtani, Manny Machado and Freddie Freeman, but the value is high at -125.

Giants vs. Brewers - Logan Webb vs. Freddy Peralta (7:10 PM, EST)

Under 0.5 Run (-135) at Hard Rock Sportsbook

Logan Webb has been dominant this season for the Giants. Even though San Francisco has faded in the standings, Webb has been one of the players who has kept the team from fully collapsing.

Webb is 11-9 with a 3.19 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. He has allowed one hit per inning and has fanned 175 batters this season.

Webb is known for being shakier on the road than at home. However, he is very trustworthy against quality opponents. 

The pitcher elevates his game against championship caliber teams, and the Brewers have the best record in baseball. Freddy Peralta is a big reason for Milwaukee’s success and he will toe the rubber on Saturday. 

The pitcher is 15-5 with a 2.78 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. He has allowed just 104 hits in 142.2 innings. 

Peralta has struggled with walks at times this season, but he also has 154 strikeouts. The pitcher can work his way out of jams, and this should be the case in the first inning on Friday.
