White Sox vs. Tigers - Martin Perez vs. Tarik Skubal (6:10 PM, EST)

Martin Perez and Tarik Skubal will pitch for their respective teams on Friday in Detroit. Skubal is on pace to win the American League Cy Young award, and Perez has been great in just under 42 innings on the mound. 

It will be tough for either offense to generate runs until the bullpen comes into the game because both starters have been excellent. Perez is just 1-3 because of Chicago’s lackluster offense, but his numbers have been impressive. 

Perez has a 2.16 ERA and a 0.98 WHIP. He has allowed just 26 hits in 41.2 innings, with only two home runs, over this span.

Skubal has even better numbers. The pitcher is 12-4 with a 2.18 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP. 

Skubal has surrendered just 124 hits in 173 innings with 216 strikeouts. The walk and home run damage has been minimal as well, which helps when betting the NRFI.

The Tigers have some dominant hitters at the top of the order, but Chicago should be no match for Skubal on Saturday. He has a .204 opponent batting average this season at home.

Astros vs. Rangers - Hunter Brown  vs. Jacob deGrom (7:15 PM, EST)

Under 0.5 Run (-160) at Hard Rock Sportsbook

The Tigers and White Sox game features a great starting pitching matchup, but the Astros vs. Rangers matchup has the best pitcher combination on the slate. 

Hunter Brown will throw against Jacob deGrom. deGrom has struggled the past few seasons, but he has returned to himself this year. 

Brown is one of the best up and coming pitchers in the league. Brown has Cy Young potential in the coming seasons if he can reduce his walk rate. 

Brown is 10-7 with a 2.34 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. He has given up just 114 hits in 161.2 innings with 182 strikeouts. 

deGrom has been even better than Brown this season with an 11-6 record, 2.69 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP. He has allowed 105 hits in 150.1 innings, so the pitcher has what it takes to tame the Astros. 

The Rangers' offense has also been inconsistent. This isn’t a spot where we should see a lot of runs.
