The MLB regular season is coming to a close, but there are plenty of competitive playoff races taking place. I’ve identified two NRFI bets for the Saturday slate with a lot of value.
Hard Rock Sportsbook will have plenty of promos for the MLB playoffs. New customers can get $150 in bonus bets if their first $5 wager wins on the app and they sign up through our exclusive link.

The Cleveland Guardians lead the American League Central thanks to their tiebreaker with the Detroit Tigers. Cleveland and Detroit have the same record, but the Guardians won the season series, which would put them in the playoffs as a division champion if they tied in the win column.
Texas beat Cleveland to open the series on Friday and there were 10 runs scored. I expect Saturday to be a much lower scoring game.
The pitching matchup is very good, and each team has a capable wing for a successful NRFI bet. Jacob Latz will take the ball for the Rangers, and he is 2-0 with a 2.8 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP.
Latz has allowed just 64 hits in 80.1 innings. If he continues this dominance, he should get three outs without surrendering a run.
Joey Cantillo will be tasked with pitching Cleveland into the playoffs. The pitcher is 5-3 with a 3.21 ERA and a 1.3 WHIP. He has elite strikeout pitching, and this is my favorite part of his arsenal.
Cantillo also allows less than one home run per nine innings. The quickest way to destroy a NRFI is with a home run, so we shouldn’t have to worry about this with Cantillo.

The Colorado Rockies are usually a YRFI team, but I’m taking them as a NRFI bet on Saturday. Colorado plays at altitude where the ball flys out of the yard.
The Rockies are on the road on Saturday, which helps our cause for a NRFI. Kyle Freeland will throw for Colorado and he has been much better on the road than at home.
Freeland’s opponent batting average is 40 points lower on the road than at home. Additionally, his ERA is nearly a point and a half lower as a visitor as well.
The San Francisco Giants haven’t been dominant offensively in 2025. Freeland has a good opportunity to shine in the first inning.
I don’t have any reservation betting on Justin Verlander to start this NRFI. The pitcher has a 3.88 ERA this season, and has allowed just 14 homers in 146 innings.
This NRFI will be tough, but neither offense is overly impressive. Lackluster offenses tend to start games slow, and I expect to see that here.

Royals vs. Athletics - Michael Wacha vs. Luis Morales: The Athletics have done an excellent job scoring early in recent games. Michael Wacha has been shaky in 2025 as well, so I expect a run in the first inning.
Mets vs. Marlins - Clay Holmes vs. Eury Perez: The Mets need to win-out to have a chance to make the playoffs. Perez has been solid, but New York’s offense should be focused in the first inning.
