The Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays opened the World Series on Friday, and the home team dominated the matchup.
The Blue Jays' offense was outstanding, but the Game 1 NRFI still hit. I’m predicting that the NRFI will hit once again in Game 2.
Hard Rock Sportsbook is where I’m betting the NRFI for Game 2. New customers can get $150 in bonus bets if their first $5 wager wins on the app and they sign up through our exclusive link.

Game 2 of the World Series between the Dodgers and Blue Jays should have another low-scoring start. With Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Kevin Gausman on the mound, both teams will have to fight for any early offense.
Yamamoto has been brilliant in his second MLB season, showing elite command and confidence in big spots. He is exactly who Los Angeles wants on the mound down 0-1 tonight.
In the first inning this season, Yamamoto has limited opponents to a batting average well below .200. That ability to start strong and attack hitters early gives him an edge on the road.
Kevin Gausman brings a veteran presence and one of the best splitter-fastball duos in baseball. When he’s locating both pitches, he’s nearly unhittable and tends to set the tone early in games.
The Dodgers lineup, led by Mookie Betts and Shohei Ohtani, will have to adjust quickly to Gausman’s movement. This should take some time and prevent them from scoring,
Both pitchers also benefit from the high-pressure nature of the World Series. Early in these games, hitters often press at the plate while pitchers settle into rhythm faster.
Yamamoto will likely lean on his splitter to neutralize Toronto’s right-handed bats like Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette. His precision is why I trust him to get three outs.
Gausman knows how to handle postseason intensity and rarely makes mistakes early. Expect him to work quickly, pound the strike zone, and keep the Dodgers from building momentum in the first frame.
With two aces locked in and both lineups seeing elite pitch movement right away, scoring should be tough, giving the NRFI value. The biggest threat in this game offensively is Shohei Ohtani.
To keep Ohtani from making solid contact, pitchers must stay unpredictable and avoid giving him anything straight over the plate.
Working him up and in with fastballs and then down and away with off-speed pitches is key to disrupting his timing.
Ohtani thrives on mistakes,so Gausman will have to locate his pitches. Keeping the ball low in the zone and mixing pitch speeds forces him to chase pitches he can’t drive out of the ballpark.
The easiest way to lose a NRFI is with a home run, so limiting mistakes with Ohtani will be vital.
