With only one day left until the Sweet 16, I’m back to share another batch of my favorite NBA player prop picks for Wednesday.
Donovan Mitchell went for 42 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers took down the Orlando Magic on their home court, while Nikola Jokic dropped a calm 23 points, 17 assists, and 17 rebounds as the Denver Nuggets squeaked out a close win against the Phoenix Suns.
Wednesday’s slate pits the top two championship favorites against one another as the Boston Celtics prepare to host the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Minnesota Timberwolves will also welcome the Houston Rockets for a battle between Western Conference teams fighting for top-four seeds later in the day.
Here are my top NBA player prop picks and bets for Wednesday, March 25.

Thompson only averaged 2.9 assists per game for the season and went under this line in five of his last six contests. Cade Cunningham is out of the lineup, but he hasn’t taken over any sort of increased role or playmaking responsibilities without his All-Star teammate on the floor.
The Detroit Pistons are preparing to take on the Atlanta Hawks, who tightened up their defense and ranked sixth in assists allowed per game over their last 15 contests. Detroit’s offensive productivity is a question mark without Cunningham in the lineup, and Thompson’s most likely outcome appears to be going under this line.

“The King” might’ve taken it easy on the offensive end recently, attempting fewer than 15 field goals in every game in March except for one, but he’s getting one of the best matchups in the NBA tonight. The Indiana Pacers, his opponent, allowed the second-most points per game in the league over the last few weeks and don’t have any real interior presence to speak of.
While James went under this line in six of his last eight contests, Indy’s lack of defense, particularly in the painted area, gives him a clear path to the over. The Lakers are also coming off of a hard-fought loss to the Pistons that snapped their nine-game winning streak, and they will be eager to get back on the winning side of things.

Tatum’s return to the court is a terrific story and achievement for him, his team, and the Celtics. With that being said, they looked better on offense without him, and he averaged 19.1 points per game but only shot 38.8 percent from the floor and 29.3 percent from beyond the three-point line.
While struggling to find his shooting rhythm was to be expected, he has been horribly inefficient and went under in back-to-back contests. The Thunder allowed the second-fewest points per game and are known to play suffocating defense (often escaping without warranted foul calls) and will make it even harder for him to get to the over.

Wemby went under in five straight games and only made 1.9 threes per game on 35.1 percent shooting for the year, so it’s not difficult to understand why someone would be inclined to take the under. I’m going more off of general trends and opportunities, such as Wemby taking an average of 8.4 threes across his last seven contests.
The Memphis Grizzlies allowed the fifth-most threes per game over their last 15 outings, and Wemby is taking more threes than at any point in the season. He went 3-6 from beyond the arc in his only previous matchup with the Grizz, and I like his chances of logging another over.

Nothing about Porzingis is consistent or reliable. That’s the primary reason that I am fading him, despite him scoring 22 points in his last outing and going over in three of his last five opportunities for the Golden State Warriors.
Porzingis only played 22 minutes per game in his new threads, and he posted terrible shooting marks of 40.2 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from beyond the arc. The Brooklyn Nets are not a good defensive team, but Porzingis is liable to play 14 minutes and make two field goals, and call it a night.
