Kamaru Usman vs. Joaquin Buckley - Welterweight Division

Stepping into the octagon for the first time since October 2023 will be the former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.

The former champ lost his title to Leon Edwards in 2022 and lost their rematch as well. He most recently moved up to the middleweight division to take on Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 294 but was defeated by majority decision - leading to his third loss in a row.

He takes on the number-seven ranked welterweight Joaquin Buckley, who most recently defeated one of Usman’s greatest rivals: Colby Covington.

The win over covington was Buckley’s sixth in a row.

These two fighters will have equal reach, however Usman will stand four-inches taller. Buckley is seven-years younger and will enter the cage this weekend as the -265 favorite at FanDuel.

Rose Namajunas vs. Miranda Maverick - Women’s Flyweight Division

Since moving up to the flyweight division, former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas has put together a record of 2-2. She recently had her two-fight winning streak snapped at the hands of Erin Blanchfield last November.

Namajunas takes on the number-11 ranked women’s flyweight Miranda Maverick, who has won her last four in a row - having most recently defeated Jamey-Lyn Horth last December.

Both women will have a 65-inch reach and both boast black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Namajunas will stand two-inches taller and is favored at -250 via FanDuel.

Edmen Shahbazyan has gone 3-3 over his last six fights and is coming off of a ‘performance of the night’ first-round TKO win over Dylan Budka that took place back in February.

However, he was submitted by former flyweight champion Deiveison Figueiredo in what was the latter’s bantamweight debut last April at UFC 300.

Raoni Barcelos, a BJJ black belt, has won his last two fights in a row. He most recently became the first man to defeat Payton Talbott. He did so via unanimous decision at UFC 311 back in January.
