Apparently, Paredes hasn’t gotten over the Rays giving up on him last season.
The young slugger has been good for the Astros, but played like an MLB MVP when he faced the Rays earlier this season. He went 5-12 at the plate with three home runs during the series, and we like him to replicate that run in this one.
Another reason we like Paredes to go deep is Rays’ starter Shane Baz (4-3, 4.94 ERA, 1.39 WHIP). The 25-year-old has been a nightmare in May, going 1-3 with a 7.82 ERA. He’s allowed seven home runs over five starts this month, and he will add at least one more to that total tonight.
With Christian Walker out, Paredes is far and away the best bet to homer against Baz tonight.

While the Braves' first baseman has seen his average dip over the last five games, he continues to post impressive power numbers. Olson has 12 home runs this season, with five of those coming over his last ten games.
We like Olson’s chance to add another home run tonight with Cristopher Sanchez (4-1, 3.17 ERA, 1.26 WHIP) on the mound for the Phillies. The lefty has been good this season, but has a bad history against the slugger. Olson owns a 1.250 OPS against Sanchez over 12 at-bats, taking him deep twice.

The 22-year-old has grown a lot over the last year. He has already become the lynchpin of this Nationals lineup, posting a .283 average with 14 home runs, 37 RBIs, and a .927 OPS. He has gone deep twice over his last five games, making him a great bet to do so again today.
Wood will be facing a young Mariners’ starter in Emerson Hancock (2-2, 5.95 ERA, 1.65 WHIP). The 25-year-old has been wildly inconsistent all season and has been giving up some big-time home runs in May. He has allowed five long balls over his last three starts, with all but two coming at home.
Expect the young hitter to have the upper hand tonight, taking Hancock deep at least once tonight.
