If you want to see home runs on Monday, you’ll need to stay up late. Our home run props today are focused on West Coast teams, including a pair of star players in the Dodgers-Padres game. But as we all know, home runs are always worth the wait.

Home Run Picks for Monday, June 9

Shohei Ohtani Anytime Home Run (+176) at FanDuel Sportsbook

After a stunning 15 home runs in May, Ohtani had just one during the first week of June. It’s been six straight games for him without a home run. If he doesn’t hit a home run on Monday, it would tie his longest home run drought of the season. Surprisingly, Ohtani has a hit in five of his last six games, so it’s not as if he’s gone completely cold.

The matchup against San Diego’s Nick Pivetta is also a good one. In 12 career at-bats against Pivetta, Ohtani has four hits, two of which are home runs. To be fair, he also has six strikeouts in those 12 at-bats. However, since he’s already taken Pivetta deep twice in his career, Ohtani has a good chance to do it again on Monday.

Manny Machado Anytime Home Run (+440) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Machado’s power has suddenly arrived after a sluggish start to the season. He’s already hit four home runs in June, giving him 10 on the season. More importantly, Machado has three home runs in his last four games. With 11 total hits in his last six games, Machado is swinging a good bat overall, so he’ll be unafraid to swing for the fences.

Dustin May will start for the Dodgers on Monday. He’s been hurt by the long ball a lot lately. He’s allowed at least one home run in six straight starts, making him vulnerable to the long ball against the Padres. While Machado is only 7 for 30 (.233) in his career against May, he does have two home runs against the Los Angeles starter.

Corbin Carroll Anytime Home Run (+340) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Believe it or not, Carroll is still hanging around in the MLB home run race. His 18 long balls are tied for the fifth-most in the big leagues. Even if he’s hit just two home runs since May 20, he’s still a good candidate to look at for a home run prop.

We like Carroll’s matchup on Monday against Seattle’s Emerson Hancock. Granted, Carroll is 0 for 2 in his career against Hancock. However, Hancock owns a 5.19 ERA and has given up twice as many home runs against left-handed hitters this season. That plays into Carroll’s favor, making him worth a shot.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Anytime Home Run (+520) at FanDuel Sportsbook

It’s a little surprising to see Guerrero with just eight home runs at this point in the season. The good news is that it has driven up his value on home run props. Guerrero is still looking for his first home run in June, as he’s gone nine games since his last homer. That’s a long drought for someone like Guerrero, so he’s probably due.

Plus, Guerrero has homered off St. Louis starter Andre Pallante before, despite facing him just three times. Pallante has also given up five home runs in his last five starts, so he’ll be vulnerable against the Blue Jays. Right-handed hitters have hit for more power against Pallante than lefties, which is another reason why this is a favorable matchup for Guerrero.
