Manny Machado Home Run (+350) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Machado went hitless on Sunday, ending a 10-game hitting streak. But one bad game isn’t going to cool him down completely. Machado had seven multi-hit games and six extra-base hits during that 10-game stretch, including a pair of home runs. He’s more than capable of picking up where he left off on Monday.

With Brandon Pfaadt on the mound for Arizona, Machado has a great chance of hitting his 21st homer of the season. Machado is a modest 3 for 12 with no home runs in his career against Pfaadt. But keep in mind that Pfaadt has a 5.11 ERA and is among the MLB leaders in allowing home runs. He’s allowed 20 homers this season, including three in his last start, so a hot hitter like Machado could do some damage against him.

Story and the Red Sox host Bailey Falter on Monday, as the lefty makes his first start for the Royals after getting traded at the deadline. Contreras is also among the hottest hitters in baseball right now. Milwaukee’s catcher had five hits on Friday, giving him four multi-hit games over his last six games. Contreras has three home runs and two doubles during that stretch, so his power has been on full display over the past week.

While not the most obvious home run candidate, Contreras also owns Erick Fedde, who starts for the Braves on Monday. He’s 9 for 16 with a double and two homers in his career against Fedde. Those are telling numbers, and with Fedde giving up five home runs over his last 12.1 innings, it’s worth taking a chance on Contreras.
