Cal Raleigh is a favorite for the AL MVP as he continues to lead the league in home runs. However, he isn’t the only AL West backstop to break out this season. The A’s Shea Langeliers has since his batting average spike, and is on pace to hit 30+ home runs for the first time in his career.

Below, we’ll share why we're betting on Langeliers to go deep tonight, as well as two other home run prop bets we’re locking in. We’ll be using odds provided by Caesars Sportsbook. If you’d like to give Caesars a try, use promo code WSNDYW to claim a “Bet $1, Double Your Winnings” offer.

The A’s catcher has been hot at the plate since July 1. He owns a .347 average with 11 home runs that span. Four of those long balls have come in August, including three against the Nationals on Tuesday. With his average up almost 50 points higher compared to last season (and his career average), it seems the 27-year-old is finally becoming the player they hoped he would be.
Langeliers will be facing a very favorable matchup today with Mitchell Parker (7-11, 5.35 ERA, 1.47 WHIP). The lefty is a promising prospect, but he has struggled at the MLB level. There hasn’t been any sign of him turning things around down the stretch, given that he has a 7.86 ERA since July 1. Given that the Nats' bullpen is arguably the worst in baseball, this is an easy home run prop bet to make.
Langeliers has not faced Parker before, but he is batting .415 with five home runs over 65 at-bats against lefties this season.

J-Rod joined the 20-20 team for the fourth-straight season, but has still been underperforming at the plate again in 2025. His .742 OPS at the end of July had fans frustrated with the promising young outfielder, but it appears he may finally be turning things around.
J-Rod has been getting better contact over the last few weeks and has hit six home runs over his previous 12 games. That’s the kind of power he flashed in 2023, giving us reason to believe it is far from a fluke.
The White Sox will have one of their top pitching prospects on the mound in Shane Smith (3-7, 4.25 ERA, 1.31 WHIP). A strong start to the season earned him an All-Star spot, but he has posted a 5.60 ERA in June and a 9.75 ERA in July. One reason for that has been his increased struggle to keep the ball in the park. After allowing one home run over his first nine starts, he has allowed nine in 11 starts since then.
Rodriguez has faced Shane Smith three times and taken him deep once.

Picking anyone from the Pirates to hit a home run can be scary, but Spencer Horwitz has been on fire over the last week. He’s batting .409 with two home runs and eight RBIs during that span. The streak has helped him salvage a rough first season with Pittsburgh, and we think he can stay hot against the Reds tonight.
Cincinnati starter Brady Singer (9-8, 4.36 ERA, 1.31 WHIP) will be starting on the mound tonight. The veteran has been wildly inconsistent this season, alternating between dominant starts and game-altering implosions. He is coming off two fantastic starts, but he won’t be looking forward to facing Horwitz tonight.
Singer has won his two at-bats against Horwitz in his career, but he has been bad against left-handed hitters in 2025. Lefties have accounted for ten of the 13 home runs surrendered by the pitcher this season, posting a solid .789 OPS.
