After hitting two of our home run targets on Monday, we’re back with a bunch of heavy hitters on Tuesday. One of our picks might be a surprise, but the others are red-hot hitters with tons of power and favorable pitching matchups, so we feel confident of another good day.

Ohtani is once again in one of those hot streaks when it feels like he’s going to hit a home run every day. While that reduces some of his value because his odds are short, it also makes him a safe bet. Even with Tyler Anderson getting scratched and Victor Mederos starting for the Angels, Ohtani can stay hot against a pitcher he hasn’t faced before.
Keep in mind that Ohtani is in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak. Over his last five games, he’s totaled nine hits, including four home runs. He’s also hit a home run in three straight games, and Tuesday wouldn’t even be the first time this season that Ohtani homers in four straight games, so we’re going to take a chance on him.

The Mariners now have Eugenio Suarez in their lineup alongside Cal Raleigh. But Rodriguez might be the best option in Seattle’s lineup to homer on Tuesday. Over the last seven games, Rodriguez has four home runs and four multi-hit games, so he’s scorching hot at the moment.
Rodriguez has 23 home runs on the season, so this recent hot streak isn’t a fluke. He also owns Baltimore starter Dean Kremer, going 5 for 8 with a double and a home run against him in his career. While that’s a small sample, keep in mind that Kremer has given up 18 home runs this season, so he’s vulnerable to the long ball in addition to struggling against Rodriguez in the past.

Caminero was one of our home run targets on Monday, and since he went deep yesterday, we’re going to stick with him. Along with Ohtani, he’s among the hottest hitters in baseball right now. In his last 10 games, Caminero has 10 total hits, five of which are home runs.
On Tuesday, Caminero has another favorable matchup against lefty Jacob Lopez. One of his two at-bats earlier this season against Lopez was a home run. The two were actually teammates in the minors, so Caminero has seen Lopez pitch a lot, albeit from the outfield. Plus, 10 of the 11 homers Lopez has allowed this year have come against right-handed hitters, while Caminero has a .516 slugging percentage against lefties, so the matchup is perfect.

On Tuesday, the Blue Jays face Ben Brown, who has a 6.04 ERA and has given up 16 home runs this season. Most of that damage has been done by left-handed hitters, who are responsible for 12 of those 16 home runs. Plus, lefties are slugging .549 against Brown this year.
That leads us directly to Barger, who is the best left-handed-hitting slugger on Toronto’s roster. He has 18 homers this year, 17 of them against right-handed pitchers. Barger is slugging .545 against southpaws and has eight hits in his last five starts, including two home runs. That puts him in a good position against a home-run-prone righty.
