The NL Central-leading Milwaukee Brewers continue to own the best record in baseball, and catcher William Contreras is a big reason why. He seemed to lose his confidence at the plate in the first half of the season, but has recently returned to being one of the best offensive catchers in baseball. Below, we’ll share why we like his chances to go deep tonight, along with two other home run prop bets we love.

The Brewers catcher saw his offensive numbers tank in the first half of the season, but no longer. In August, he is batting .340 with four home runs and 14 RBIs. While he hasn’t homered in his previous three games, he has posted two hits in each game. His hot bat is helping to lead the Brew Crew’s incredible run, and we think it continues tonight.
Contreras will be facing Reds’ starter Nick Martinez (10-9, 4.49 ERA, 1.19 WHIP) on the mound tonight. The 25-year-old has been a disaster since June 1, posting an ERA of 5.40. While he hasn’t been giving up many home runs, the hot bats of Contreras and the Crew will hammer that change tonight.
Martinez has faced Contreras 13 times and gone deep once.

The veteran slugger is having an MVP-worthy campaign for the Phillies this season. His 42 home runs are the third-most in the league, with five coming in the first half of August. He’s dangerous against all pitchers, but has an impressive .978 against lefties like he’ll face to start tonight’s game.
The Nationals will have MacKenzie Gore (5-12, 4.09 ERA, 1.33 WHIP) starting against the Phillies tonight. While the promising young pitcher has been solid for the Nats, he has struggled against the long ball. He’s allowed multiple home runs in three of his previous five starts, which is a bad sign as he faces one of the most dangerous lineups in baseball.
Gore has delivered two quality starts against the Phillies this season, but they came early on when he was pitching better. Schwarber did register a home run against him in the second game.

Injury and poor play have made the Rangers’ signing of Joc Pederson look like a massive bust. However, the 33-year-old is finally healthy and starting to settle in with his new team. He has gone deep twice and posted a .962 OPS across 27 at-bats in August, signaling he is seeing the ball well.
We like his chances to add another home run tonight against a struggling Chris Bassitt (11-6, 4.17 ERA, 1.32 WHIP). The Jays’ veteran starter has been up and down all season and has recently struggled to keep the ball in the park. He has allowed 2+ home runs in three of his previous four starts, for a total of seven over 20 ⅓ innings.
The price shows that this is a longshot bet, but we think there is money to be made by backing Joc Pederson tonight.
