While he’s gone four straight games without a homer, Ohtani isn’t far removed from going deep in four straight games, so a visit to Denver could easily get him back on track.

On Monday, Kyle Freeland has the task of facing Ohtani and the Dodgers. While Ohtani has just six career at-bats against Freeland, he has four hits, including two home runs, in that small sample size. While only one of the 16 homers Freeland has allowed this year has been hit by a left-handed hitter, Ohtani is not an ordinary left-handed hitter, especially given his track record against Freeland.

Salvador Perez Anytime Home Run (+340) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Perez has rather quietly hit 22 home runs this season. Despite batting just .177 in August, he’s hit four home runs this month. His last two home runs came after at least two consecutive games without a hit, so he doesn’t need to be in a groove to go deep.

His track record against Texas starter Jack Leiter also drew us to Perez on Monday. He has just three at-bats against Leiter, but in those at-bats, Perez has a double and two home runs. It’s a short track record, but it tells us that Perez is more than capable of taking Leiter deep on Monday.

Julio Rodriguez Anytime Home Run (+470) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Amidst all of Seattle’s power hitters, Rodriguez has the fourth-shortest odds to hit a home run on Monday. However, he brings a ton of value to the table, especially given his track record against Philadelphia’s Ranger Suarez. He’s 3 for 3 with a double in limited at-bats against Suarez.

Rodriguez also has at least one hit in seven of his last eight games, including five multi-hit games during that stretch and three home runs during that stretch. He’s in a nice groove at the moment and sees the balls well against Suarez, which should help him hit his 25th home run of the season.

Ramon Laureano Anytime Home Run (+370) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Laureano is on the verge of hitting 20 home runs in a season for the first time since 2019. He’s been crushing it since being traded to the Padres, including nine total hits and three home runs during his current five-game hitting streak. That’s the type of player you want to target for a home run prop and strike while the iron is hot. 

In theory, he has a tough matchup on Monday against Robbie Ray. But Ray has allowed 17 homers this season despite his 2.98 ERA, with right-handed hitters being responsible for 15 of them. Equally important, Laureano is 7 for 12 with three doubles and a home run in his career against Ray, making this a favorable matchup for him.
