Andrew Vaughn’s resurgence since joining the Milwaukee Brewers has been one of the best stories of the season. The former first-round pick has been playing like an MVP over the last two months, helping lead the Crew to the league’s best record. While his batting average has cooled off, the first baseman continues to hit home runs and drive in RBIs.

Since joining the Brewers on July 7, Andrew Vaughn owns a .289 average with nine home runs and 38 RBIs. While he isn’t getting on base as much, Vaughn continues to deliver some serious power for the Crew.
Vaughn and Milwaukee will be facing veteran starter Kevin Gausman (8-10, 3.87 ERA, 1.07 WHIP) today. The Jays’ starter is capable of being one of the league’s top pitchers, but struggles with consistency. Through five August starts, Gausman is 1-3 with a 4.06 ERA and five home runs allowed.
Surprisingly, Gausman’s struggles have mostly come at home this season. He’s allowed 14 of his 20 home runs there, with opponents posting an average of almost 30 points higher than they do on the road.
Vaughn has faced Gausman nine times and posted three hits, including a double and a home run.

The Astros' first baseman is in the midst of an impressive hot streak, posting eight home runs in August. His average continues to hover around the .240 mark, but that hasn’t stopped him from putting up some impressive power numbers. The slugger has gone deep five times over the last week, and he’ll have another tonight.
We also love this bet because Kyle Hendricks (6-9, 5.04 ERA, 1.32 WHIP) will be starting for the Angels. The 35-year-old has struggled again in 2025, going 0-2 with a 6.46 ERA over five starts this month. Considering he is 2-4 with a 5.43 ERA on the road this season, we don’t see him improving tonight.

Don’t look now, but Cody Bellinger is playing some of the best baseball of his career. Over the last week, the slugger has been batting .480 with two home runs and six RBIs. While he’s been better at home, it didn’t stop him from going 3-4 with a home run in Game 1 of this series.
Bellinger and the Yankees will be facing off against Shane Smith (4-7, 3.87 ERA, 1.23 WHIP) to start this one. The 25-year-old is expected to be the future ace of the White Sox rotation, but he is in his first season of his career. That has led to some big mistakes, which Bellinger has the power to capitalize on.
Shane Smith has been fantastic at home for the Sox this season, but he’ll be overwhelmed tonight against a Yankee lineup that doesn’t provide many easy outs.
