The pitching matchup on Wednesday is interesting, as Raleigh has just two career at-bats against Kansas City’s Cole Ragans. But Ragans is also a lefty with a 5.18 ERA. Raleigh does his best work against lefties, slugging .680 this season, so this is a good matchup for him.

Vinnie Pasquantino Anytime Home Run (+500) at FanDuel Sportsbook

Opposing Raleigh and the Mariners on Wednesday will be Pasquantino, who has a mere 30 homers this season. He’s also been swinging a hot bat lately, getting at least one hit in 10 of his last 12 games. During that stretch, Pasquantino has five multi-hit games, five doubles, and two home runs.

Facing Bryce Miller and his 5.59 ERA is also a good matchup for Pasquantino. Since coming back from an elbow injury in August, Miller has given up at least one home run in all five of his starts. In fact, he’s allowed nine total home runs across just 27 innings in those five starts. Left-handed hitters have a better slugging percentage against Miller, which also led us to target Pasquantino on Wednesday.

It also helps that Rice is red hot right now. In the last five games he’s started, Rice is 9 for 18 with five doubles. That’s a good indicator that a home run is coming soon, especially given his history against Bradley, who is more vulnerable to giving up home runs against left-handed hitters.

Brandon Pfaadt of the Diamondbacks has been one of the more homer-prone pitchers in the big leagues this season. While he’s been better since the start of August, he also gave up two home runs in just 4.2 innings in his last start. Oddly enough, right-handed hitters have a better slugging percentage against Pfaadt, who also owns a 5.31 ERA.

The kicker is that Adames is 4 for 7 with two doubles and a home run in his career against Pfaadt. Again, this is a small sample size, but it’s too impressive to ignore. Keep in mind that Adames is sitting on 28 home runs and could strike at any time, especially with such a favorable matchup.
