The first two games of the 2025 World Series have produced six home runs, with both teams showcasing their power. Even with Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s dominant performance in Game 2, there has been no shortage of home runs. That’s allowed us to pick out four targets for Game 3 on Monday, although we’re mostly playing it safe by targeting the more obvious candidates.

Max Scherzer delivered for the Blue Jays during the ALCS, but even if he gives another good performance, he’s vulnerable to the long ball. In 85 innings pitched this season, Scherzer allowed 19 home runs. Left-handed hitters contributed 13 of those homers, slugging .545 against Scherzer.
Naturally, that led us to target Ohtani. In his career, he’s 2 for 6 with a double against Scherzer, so Ohtani doesn’t have much experience facing Toronto’s Game 3 starter. But given Scherzer’s problems with the long ball, it’d be foolish not to think that Ohtani has a good chance to take him deep.

The Dodgers have managed to keep Guerrero relatively quiet through the first two games. He’s 3 for 8 with no extra-base hits in the World Series. For a player who’s batting .431 with six home runs and three doubles in the postseason, going 3 for 8 with no extra-base hits can almost be considered a slump.
Of course, there’s no reason to think the Dodgers can keep Guerrero under wraps all series. The Blue Jays exploded in Game 1 thanks to their complementary players. But on the road, they’ll need their superstar to step up. The kicker is that Guerrero is 6 for 17 with a home run and two doubles against Game 3 starter Tyler Glasnow, so he looks poised to deliver on Monday.

Springer has even better career numbers against Glasnow than Guerrero does. He’s 6 for 13 with a home run in his career against Glasnow. It’s not the biggest sample size, but it’s big enough to make this a favorable matchup for Springer.
The caveat is that Glasnow hasn’t allowed a home run since August. He’s one of the toughest pitchers to homer against, although eight of the 10 he allowed this year came at home, which should help. Springer is also 4 for 11 with two extra-base hits in his last three games, making him a strong candidate to go deep.

Pages is definitely what you could call a deep cut for home run props. He’s not been a contributor for the Dodgers during the postseason, batting just .093. But Dave Roberts has kept him in the lineup, and Pages showed signs of life with a hit in Game 2.
With a pitcher like Scherzer, who’s vulnerable to the long ball on the mound, Game 3 is a chance for Pages to break out of his slump with a big hit. Keep in mind that his 27 home runs during the regular season were the second most on the team behind Ohtani. With 19 of those 27 homers coming at home, the Dodgers' coming home could be a good sign for Pages.
