Who can’t wait to see Guerrero in the batter’s box and Shohei Ohtani on the mound? These have been the two biggest stars of this year’s postseason, and because of the magic of Ohtani, they will square off directly against one another. While Ohtani was dominant on the mound in his last start, don’t overlook the possibility of Guerrero winning this matchup.
In his career, Guerrero is actually 3 for 8 with a double and a home run against Ohtani. Plus, even after going 2 for 7 in Game 3, he’s still hitting .414 with a 1.269 OPS during the playoffs. After a devastating loss in Game 3, the Blue Jays need their star player to deliver in Game 4, so why not bet on Guerrero to come through once again?

Barger delivered that historic grand slam in Game 1 of the series. Keep in mind that was his third home run of the postseason, after he hit 21 homers during the regular season. While he wasn’t widely known before the World Series, people are learning that he’s one of Toronto’s best hitters.
He’s 4 for 9 in the series and batting .318 in the postseason, making him one of Toronto’s better home run targets. Unlike most players, Barger didn’t play all 18 innings in Game 3, as he was lifted for a pinch-hitter. That means he’ll be fresh and ready to unleash plenty of power.

Needless to say, Smith is likely to be exhausted after catching all 18 innings of Game 3. But don’t forget that he’s been one of the most productive hitters in the Los Angeles lineup. Since the start of the NLCS, Smith has a seven-game hitting streak, going 10 for 28, including his home run in Game 2.
It’s also worth mentioning that Toronto starter Shane Bieber has reverse splits when it comes to home runs. Right-handed batters have a .595 slugging percentage against him, as opposed to .247 for lefties. That makes a red-hot right-handed batter like Smith a good home run target for Game 4.

After he ended Game 3 with a home run, why not bet on Freeman to strike again in Game 4? His power disappeared during the middle of the season, but including the postseason, Freeman has 16 homers since July 30. Plus, as the reigning World Series MVP, one can’t count out Freeman coming through in a big spot.
Meanwhile, despite Bieber not giving up a lot of homers against left-handed hitters, Freeman has a previous homer against him. He’s also 4 for 11 with a home run against Chris Bassitt, who could be called upon for multiple innings after the Blue Jays exhausted their bullpen in Game 3. Merely the fact that the Blue Jays have a tired bullpen is enough of a reason to look at a proven postseason performer like Freeman as a home run target.
