Saturday’s MLB slate is loaded with games. I have targeted two NRFI bets on my card that have a lot of value.

Jacob deGrom has been a huge surprise in 2025 as he is finally healthy and pitching great. He will get the start for the Rangers against Jesus Luzardo of the Phillies.
deGrom enters this game with a 10-4 record and a 2.80 ERA. He has battled injuries almost every season throughout his career but he's showing signs of prime deGrom in 2025.
deGrom’s strikeout numbers are solid, as he has fanned 135 batters in 128.2 innings. His last two starts haven’t been the best, but I think he will respond adequately.
Luzardo is 10-5 with a 4.32 ERA this season. He is also a big time strikeout pitcher as he has with 147 in 127 innings.
Luzardo’s biggest positive this season is the ability to pitch deep into games. In his last two starts he has pitched at least six innings.
Anytime there is a pitching matchup that features two powerful arms it’s smart to take the NRFI. The Phillies have the fourth-best team batting average in baseball, but I think deGrom is going to give them trouble on Saturday.
I see this game being a low-scoring affair with two great arms on the mound.

It’s safe to say the Royals and Twins are out of the AL Central race, but this game will still be competitive. Noah Cameron will get the ball for Kansas City and Minnesota will go with Bailey Ober.
Cameron enters this contest at 5-5 with a 2.68 ERA. He has been outstanding in 2025 and has exceeded expectations.
Cameron is not a strikeout guy by any means, but his ability to pitch to contact is off the charts. He has only allowed 24 walks the whole season which is a key piece to cashing a NRFI.
Ober is 4-6 with a 5.38 ERA in 2025, but luckily for him he faces a Royals offense that hasn’t done much at the plate this year. Kansas City is hitting .244 as a club which is the 17th best in baseball.
Ober had some success early in the season, but has been awful in his last couple starts. I think this is a perfect spot to back Ober against a division opponent that struggles at the plate.
Minnesota's offense has been even worse, hitting .241 as a club which is 22nd in MLB. Cameron should have an easy first inning if he continues to throw strikes early in counts.
With two struggling offenses, I believe both pitchers will thrive.

Rockies vs. Diamondbacks - Bradley Blalock vs. Eduardo Rodriguez: Blalock is 1-3 with an ERA of 7.68. Rodriguez hasn’t been much better so the offenses should dominate.
Marlins vs. Braves - Sandy Alcantara vs. Erick Fedde: This matchup features two of the worst pitchers this season in Alcantara and Fedde. Both arms allow the long ball and also walk hitters consistently.
