Jonathan Taylor is averaging 5.5 yards per carry on the season, but just 3.7 yards per carry during Indy’s current three-game losing streak.
The Seattle defense gives up just 3.8 yards per carry against the run.
The Colts have allowed the third-most passing yards in the NFL this season.
There was a time when this week’s game between the Colts and Seahawks looked like a potential Super Bowl preview. However, things have changed. While the Seahawks remain hot, winning seven of their last eight games, the Colts have lost three in a row, falling out of the playoff picture. While that’s taken away some of the intrigue around this matchup, there are still plenty of star players worth watching closely.
While Daniel Jones is done for the season, Indy’s Jonathan Taylor remains the favorite to lead the NFL in rushing yards this season. Even better, Taylor and Seattle receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba are in a two-horse race for the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. This week’s head-to-head game between the two could have a big impact on who wins that award. It’s also too soon to rule out Sam Darnold in the odds for NFL MVP race.
Needless to say, there is a lot of star power in this game, which is why we picked out our three favorite player props for this week’s Colts-Seahawks game.

While Taylor leads the NFL in rushing, opposing teams have started to hold him in check during Indy’s current three-game losing streak. He’s averaging a rather modest 72.3 rushing yards per game over his last three games. Taylor is gaining just 3.7 yards per carry during that stretch, which is down considerably from his season average of 5.5 yards per carry.
Taylor likely faces an uphill battle this week against the Seahawks, who have one of the best rush defenses in the league. Seattle gives up just 91 rushing yards per game and just 3.8 yards per carry, which is tied for second-fewest in the NFL. With Riley Leonard stepping in at quarterback, the Seahawks are bound to pack the box and focus on stopping Taylor, making this a good time to fade him.

Outside of a couple of games this season, Smith-Njigba has been almost impossible to contain. He’s by far the preferred target for Sam Darnold, which is why Smith-Njigba has collected at least seven catches in nine of 13 games. While he had an off week with just two catches against the Vikings a couple of weeks ago, Smith-Njigba has at least seven catches and at least 10 targets in three of his last four games.
This week offers a favorable matchup against the Colts, who have conceded the third-most passing yards in the NFL. While the Colts now have Sauce Gardner in their secondary, he’s banged up and may not be able to keep up with Smith-Njigba. The likes of Brian Thomas, Nico Collins, Rashee Rice, and Drake London have all had big games against the Colts in recent weeks, which means the Seahawks should have no problem getting the ball to Smith-Njigba as much as possible.

If the Colts don’t have an answer for Smith-Njigba, it’s unlikely that they’ll have an answer for Barner either. Part of Indy’s subpar pass defense is giving up over 68 yards per game against opposing tight ends, which is the third-worst in the league. In recent weeks, both Travis Kelce and Dalton Schultz have easily eclipsed 40 receiving yards against Indy.
Granted, Barner isn’t at the same level as both of those players. But he is Seattle’s third-leading receiver on the season. Barner has had a consistent role in the offense all season, so he should get a healthy number of targets in this game, especially with backup tight end Elijah Arroyo dealing with an injury. Given Indy’s trouble with tight ends this season, Barner is a good target in Week 15.
