The main event of this card sees current second-ranked Diego Lopes take on fellow countryman Jean Silva in a Featherweight clash that could have major implications for the rest of the division.

Lopes’ last outing saw him stand toe-to-toe with champion Alexander Volkanovski in April. He managed to survive all five rounds with the sixth-ranked fighter in the world, but lost the fight after all of the judges deemed Volkanovski to be the victor. Lopes was on a hot streak prior to that last fight, with five wins in a row, and we’re sure he’ll be looking to rebuild his momentum with a win against Jean Silva.

If there is one UFC star who knows something about hot streaks, it’s Jean Silva. The fighter dubbed “Lord” has been victorious in all 13 of his fights. This fight will certainly be great viewing as former CES Featherweight champion, Rob Font, takes on former Combat Americas Bantamweight champion, David Martinez, with the chance for the winner to climb the division ladder.

Rafa Garcia vs. Jared Gordon will see both fighters trying to get back on track after mixed results in their recent fights.

Garcia has struggled to pick up momentum in his last few fights. Any time he manages to get a couple of wins under his belt, a loss has followed. He was declared the unanimous winner in his last bout against Vinc Pichel, but if Garcia wants to recapture his former glory, which saw him win his first 12 fights, he is really going to have to live up to his nickname, “Gifted”.

Kelvin Gastelum vs. Dustin Stoltzfus - Middleweight Division

Perhaps the most evenly matched bout of the evening sees Kelvin Gastelum versus Dustin Stoltzfus. Both fighters have similar statures and records, and it will be interesting to see who can turn the tide in their favor.

Gastelum has been something of a ladder for other fighters to climb during his career, and has lost a third of his fights since debuting in 2009. Earlier this year at UFC 316, he lost against Joe Pyfer on a unanimous judges’ decision. The southpaw striker will be looking to prove he is more than a stepping stone at Noche UFC.
