While many playoff races have been decided, there are still plenty of chances to win some home run prop bets over the final few days of the season. We are placing some of those wagers today, with two centered on power-hitting catchers not named Cal Raleigh. We’ll share who we are picking and why below, along with one other home run prop bet we love.

The veteran first baseman has posted another fantastic season, batting .301 with 25 home runs and 83 RBIs. He’s been especially great since the All-Star break, adding 11 home runs and 30 RBIs while posting a .329 average, looking like an MVP candidate at 34 years old. He is a patient and talented hitter, which is bad news for tonight’s starter for the Orioles.
Baltimore will have Cade Povich (3-8, 5.06 ERA, 1.46 WHIP) starting this one. The 25-year-old lefty isn’t having a good season and isn’t showing any sign of turning things around in his final start. While he will be at home today, that hasn’t been an advantage, with Povich going 1-5 with a 5.66 ERA.
These two players have not met before, but Yandy Diaz has been crushing left-handed pitching, posting an impressive .921 OPS.

Astros ace Framber Valdez (12-11, 3.75 ERA, 1.24 WHIP) was elite once again to begin this season, but something changed after the All-Star break. Since then, he is 2-7 with a 5.63 ERA. He’s been giving up more home runs, and things keep getting worse as the season comes to a close. His 8.27 ERA in September shows that, along with the five home runs allowed over 20 ⅔ innings.
A’s catcher Shea Langeliers has been trending in the opposite direction. Since the break, he is batting .295 with 18 home runs and 37 RBIs. While Nick Kurtz has also put up similar numbers, Langeliers will have an advantage with Valdez on the mound.
The slugger has been hammering lefties all season, batting .342 with nine home runs. While he has just one home run against Valdez over 19 at-bats, he’ll be facing a much different version of the perennial Cy Young candidate tonight.

While the Royals' young superstar saw his power numbers drop significantly in 2025, there are two reasons why we believe he will add another home run tonight.
The first is that Witt will be on the road, where he has played his best baseball. His OPS is over 20 points higher than at home, and he’s hit more home runs.
The second is that left-handed rookie Mitch Farris (1-2, 6.52 ERA, 1.45 WHIP). The 24-year-old has been bad, allowing 14 runs over his first 19 ⅓ innings pitched in the MLB. That includes three home runs, along with 19 hits and nine walks. Those are brutal numbers, and make us doubt he will fare better at home tonight.
Witt and Farris will be meeting for the first time, but the former is batting .323 against lefties this season.
