There won’t be too many more games this season with two MLB games, so fans have to take advantage. Granted, all four remaining teams have the type of pitching that can silence good lineups, as we saw in Game 1 of the ALCS. Nevertheless, we have found one hitter on each team who is a good bet to go deep on Monday.

Picking Seattle’s home run target for Game 2 is tricky because Toronto rookie Trey Yesavage has yet to allow a home run in the first 19.1 innings of his career. He also didn’t allow a hit over 5.1 innings against the Yankees during the ALDS. But if you look closer at his numbers, right-handed batters hit .333 against him during the regular season, while lefties hit just .161.
Suarez is the best righty-on-righty batter out of all of Seattle’s power threats. He had a .552 slugging percentage against righties this season, far better than his .453 slugging percentage against lefties. Suarez also homered in Game 3 against the Tigers and was mere inches from a homer last night, so he’s probably Seattle’s best option to go deep against Yesavage.

Despite going 0 for 4 in Game 1, it’s hard to forget how amazing Guerrero was in the ALDS. He went 9 for 17 with three home runs in that series. With the right matchup, it won’t take much for Guerrero to catch fire again and go deep.
Fortunately, he has a favorable matchup with Logan Gilbert starting Game 2 for the Mariners. Guerrero is 6 for 15 with two doubles and two home runs in his career against Gilbert. Keep in mind that Gilbert allowed at least one home run in nine of his last 10 regular-season starts, so he’ll be a little vulnerable against Toronto’s best sluggers.

The Brewers are being coy with their starting pitcher for Game 1. They could end up going with an opener or perhaps having a bullpen game. When in doubt, it’s best to go with a safe choice for Ohtani, who is clearly the best home run hitter in the series.
In fairness, Ohtani has had a suboptimal postseason. He’s batting just .148, with just two hits since he mashed two homers in Game 1 of the Wild Card series against the Reds. But a new series gives Ohtani a fresh start, and since he’s unbothered by facing lefties, Ohtani will be capable of going deep against whomever the Brewers put on the mound.

To be frank, there aren’t a lot of good home run candidates on the Brewers. Even under good circumstances, their lineup isn’t exactly a murderers' row of home run hitters. It’ll be even tougher against Blake Snell, who silenced the Phillies for six shutout innings in his last start and hasn’t allowed a homer since late August.
That being said, all three homers Snell has allowed this year have been hit by right-handed batters, which helps us narrow our choice to Chourio. While he has just two career at-bats against Snell, Chourio has been one of Milwaukee’s best hitters during the postseason. He went 7 for 18 with two doubles and a homer during the NLDS, making him the best option the Brewers have to go deep in Game 1.
