At 35 years old, Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi is having the best season of his career. He has been nearly unhittable all season and will try to keep the momentum going today at Yankee Stadium. We’ll share our favorite bet for that game and two others we love.

Run Line | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Rangers | +1.5 (-165) | +135 | Over 7.5 (-105) |
Yankees | -1.5 (+140) | -160 | Under 7.5 (-115) |
We can’t wait to watch tonight’s veteran starters face off. On one side will be Nathan Eovaldi (4-2, 1.61 ERA, 0.77 WHIP), who is on track to have his best season at 35. The righty is showing no signs of cooling off in May, with a minuscule 0.48 ERA over three starts, and we expect that trend to continue tonight.
The Yankees hit Eovaldi well when he was with the Red Sox, but he is pitching at a far higher level in 2025.
The Yankees will send Carlos Rodon (5-3, 3.17 ERA, 0.99 WHIP) out to start against the Rangers. The lefty has been fantastic after a rough start to the season, going 4-0 with a 1.72 ERA over his last six starts. Considering he has dominated this struggling Rangers lineup in the past, we expect that trend to continue tonight.
When these starters exit, they’ll be turning things over to some talented relievers. Both teams have seen the back of their pen excel lately, meaning things won’t get easier once Eovaldi and Rodon exit the game.

Padres | -1.5 (+143) | -115 | Over 9 (+100) |
Blue Jays | +1.5 (-170) | -105 | Under 9 (-120) |
This matchup features shaky pitching facing off against powerful bats. That has us locking in the over with confidence today.
Starting tonight, the Padres will have Stephen Kolek (2-1, 2.33 ERA, 1.14 WHIP). The 28-year-old’s numbers seem strong, but he’s only made three starts. His ERA and WHIP are boosted by a pair of starts against the Pirates and Rockies (complete game). When he faced a far more dangerous Seattle lineup last week, he was hammered hard, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk over five innings.
The Jays will have Bowden Francis (2-6, 5.63 ERA, 1.40 WHIP) on the mound this afternoon. After looking sharp over the first two years of his career, the righty has regressed badly in 2025. He’s allowing too many hits and has become vulnerable to the long ball. Those are bad problems to have, especially when facing a lineup like the Pades.

Angels | +1.5 (-145) | +135 | Over 10 (-110) |
Athletics | -1.5 (+122) | -160 | Under 10 (-110) |
Don’t look now, but the Angels are getting hot. They swept the Dodgers on the road over the weekend, and have been dominating the A’s over this four-game series. Their hot play comes as the A’s are mired in their worst slump of the season. While we like the A’s, we don’t see things turning around this afternoon with Tyler Anderson (2-1, 3.04 ERA, 1.09 WHIP).
Anderson is coming off a rough start against the Dodgers, but has been fantastic on the season. That is especially true when starting at home, where he is 1-1 with a 2.51 ERA and .190 OBA. The Athletics have a .167 average against Anderson over 48 at-bats, so we expect the veteran pitcher to bounce back in a big way today.
The primary reason for the A’s losing skid has been their play at the plate. They have a brutal .181 average over the last week, with an OPS of just .549. That will be a problem today, especially considering starter Luis Severino is 0-1 with a 6.75 in May.
