Last September, in the main event of UFC 306 at the Las Vegas Sphere, Sean O’Malley entered the main event as the bantamweight champion. After five rounds of action, Merab Dvalishvili walked out as the new champion.
Dvalishvili has since defended his title once - earning a unanimous decision win over umar Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 311 back in January. He became the first (and so far only) man to defeat Nurmagomedov in professional competition.
Since his UFC 306 loss to Dvalishvili, Sean O’Malley has yet to fight again, opting to undergo surgery and spend time in recovery.
Prior to his loss to Dv alishvili, O’Malley had won six fights in a row, won the bantamweight title and defended it once.
Despite O’Malley standing significantly taller than the champion, Dvalishvili will be listed as the -295 favorite via FanDuel to defeat O’Malley once again.

Long-time MMA veteran, PFL tournament winner and Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison will finally get her first crack at UFC gold this Saturday when she takes on the two-time champion Julianna Pena in the co-main event.
Pena won her first championship from Amanda Nunes back in 2021 but ultimately lost the title back to Nunes in their 2022 rematch. Nunes eventually retired, allowing Pena to fight for the title once again - this time against Raqel Pennington. Pena defeated Pennington at UFC 307 last October.
Harrison joined the UFC with a 17-1 record in early 2024. She debuted against former champion Holly Holm and submitted her in the second round. She most recently defeated Ketlen Vieira by unanimous decision at UFC 307.
The challenger is one-inch taller and one-year younger and is one of the most decorated combat sports athletes of all time. She will enter the octagon for the co-main event as a -750 favorite via FanDuel over the champion.
She is the largest betting favorite on the main card.

71.5 in | Reach | 75 in |

Originally slated to face off against one another back in March, an illness the day of the fight suffered by Joe Pyfer caused his bout against Kelvin Gastelum to be canceled at the last-minute. They have now been rescheduled for this weekend.
Former title challenger Kelvin Gastelum has struggled in his most recent years, holding a record of just 3-6 over his last nine fights. However, he will enter the cage this weekend riding the wave of his most recent win over Daniel Rodriguez that took place last June.
Joe Pyfer is 6-1 over his last seven bouts and most recently defeated Marc-Andre Barriault by first-round KO at UFC 303 last June.
Pyfer will be four-inches taller and 4.5-inches longer in reach. He is also listed as a -410 favorite (FanDuel) over Gastelum.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and southpaw fighter Patchy Mix will make his UFC debut this weekend after spending the past several years serving as the Bellator bantamweight champion. He steps in as a replacement for Marlon Vera.
A win this weekend would mark Mix’s seventh in a row.
He takes on Mario Bautista, who is coming off of a very close split-decision win over UFC great Jose Aldo that took place last October at UFC 307. Bautista also boasts a BJJ black belt.
Mix will stand taller but both men are the same age and Bautista will have the slightest edge in reach.
Despite this being his octagon debut, Patchy Mix is the favorite, listed at -186 via FanDuel over Bautista.

Kicking off the main card will be a welterweight battle between two BJJ black belts who are better known for their stand-up fighting styles.
Number-14 ranked welterweight Vicente Luque is coming off of a first-round submission win over Themba Gorimbo that took place last December at UFC 310. The win earned him a performance of the night bonus.
Kevin Holland also won and earned a performance bonus for his last fight. He earned a unanimous decision win over Gunnar Nelson back in March.
Holland will stand four-inches taller and have an impressive 5.5-inch reach advantage over Luque. He is listed as a -280 favorite via FanDuel.
